  • First tests seem to be ok. We have not gotten to the stress test part yet.

sounds good, and you use them in a duo?
anyone tried them in a ultra4?

I have one running in my Ultra4 (together with a bunch of Hitachi 2TB with similar specs). So far it works fine.
  • Hi,

I currently have a 2x ReadyNAS 3200 each populated with 6(six) of these drives. All the drives have the same fw:cc46 and have been confirmed working in Seatools, however some of the drives are not being picked up by the NAS from startup. So the NAS sees drives 1-5 when booting up, the LEDs are lit, drive sixs' LED is dead eventhough it has a confirmed working driove in. From frontview and RAIDar it only shows four active drives.

    The NAS is running 4.2.20.

    Any ideas?

    Regards
  • Hi

I am very close to buying a DUO v2, I noticed the ST3000DM001's are on the hardware compatibility list, but these ST2000DM001 are not there. Any body got any experience with the 2GB version on the DUO v2?
  • I am running ST2000DM001 on a duo v2 can confirm no problems at all with these disks.
  • Above post re the drives working may relate to the Pro or higher version of Readynas. I have spent the last 2 hours with tech support who inform me that the drives are not on the HCL. They advised that the engineers have been informed of the issue and are working on adding them but there is no guarantee it will be in the next firmware release or if it ever will be resolved. Their suggestion was to upgrade to the Intel based Readynas Pro.
Further to this I have added 4 x ST2000DM001 2Tb drives after running 4 x 500gig drives. I added them one by one and they ended up all syncing and updating perfectly. The only problem is that he drive space is still 1500gig not the 6000gig it should be with xRaid. Now I will reboot the NAS and see if it does come up like the guy above mentioned but I very much doubt it.
