Unfortunately not.  The current systems are very different from the Duo, so you cannot migrate the disks and preserve the data.

You'll either need to back up the data and restore it after setup, or start with new disks in the new NAS.  If you start with new disks, you can use backup jobs to transfer the data from the Duo (which is better than using drag and drop from a PC).

Honestly, you should back up your NAS anyway - RAID simply isn't enough to keep your data safe.

That's a reasonable choice to replace the Duo.  One thing you should know -  there are some rumors here that Netgear is abandoning the NAS market.  Whether true or not, ReadyNAS are hard to find right now, and many are overpriced.  So you should also look at prices for other brands.

As noted above, you can't migrate your disks to a current ReadyNAS and preserve data.

But if you use XRAID and have 2 disks in a current system, you'd also have RAID-1.  Adding an additional disk would automatically convert the array to RAID-5.
