Swapping Drives between NAS's
Hi, firstly a bit of background..... One of my NV+ v2 NAS's is configured with 4x3Tb disks. The device started reporting SMART errors on one of the drives and, eventually, offlined the drive (bay 2...
The OS is installed on the drives, so if you move them with both systems powered down there should be no problem. You might want to ensure that both NAS are running the same firmware first.
Did you try shutting down, removing the power for a bit, and then starting up again?
Also, if you can run a SMART self-test on the drive (from your MAC), that might also be useful.
