Hi,
Thanks for following up. Because I am not comfortable going to the system partition drives to delete files, I paid for the prosupport and requested help. However, they think it has something to do with a bad hard drive, that was slowly failing. I think it is an unrelated issue, but they dont think so. So, I am in the process of replacing both drives as we speak. Once that is done I will see if I get the same message. However, in the process of completing the sync of the backup drive, I got the same message this morning. I am now syncing the first drive so will know soon. If prosupport cannot help, I will need some stepwise instructions on how to do this myself.
Thanks

You will get the same message unless they did something more. I am not familiar with anything that bad drives would do to cause the OS partition to fill. The resulting logs just wouldn't normally be big enough. But perhaps they have identified something there that did it. But replacing the drives will just copy what's on all partitions to the new ones, it won't reduce the size of whatever is taking up the space, nor will it increase the size of the OS partition. I find it strange that they did not at least partly clean up the OS partition before having you take this action. Are you sure they didn't?

Hi dtsaoboy,
I agree with Sandshark that you will just get the same message even after replacing the bad drive.
It appears that the issue is already resolved upon checking the case. It was escalated to L3 and found out that ClamAV filled up the OS partition.

Hi John,
Thanks for following up. You are correct, replacing the bad drives with new ones did not solve the OS system volume issue. This was initially recommended, although reasonable concern, was not the original problem. Yes, because I didnt want to mess anything up, I asked that tech support help me solve the issue. For me, could you explain what ClamAv process is? Also, I havent tried to enable the antivirus anymore and not even sure it will work. Is the recommendation not to use it? or has it been permanently disabled?
Thanks,
Dave
