Transcode MKV to PS3?
Hi, I am new to NAS boxes and am trying to narrow my search.
One function I am really looking for is the ability to transcode mkv files for my PS3. Is that possible with a readynas box?
Currently I am using PS3 Media Server and my main PC for the task.

- PS3 Media Server is available for the x86 ReadyNAS models, though the plugin that was created for it is no longer maintained.
Here are the most updated downloads. You will have to install java first, then mplayer and finally the pms add-on.
Towards the end of the topic, there are notes on how to manually update pms after that.
