4-bay and 6-bay Ultra/Ultra Plus/Pro would use DDR2, whereas the 2-bay Ultra/Ultra Plus/Pro would use DDR3, I think. The 2-bay models were designed later and also had a USB 3 port on the front whereas the 4-bay and 6-bay models had no USB 3 ports.
