FWIW, these have been running fine for two weeks now in a 716..model: HUH728080ALE600 / 0F23267
i had to remove the black plastic interior guide of the tray, but then they fit right in.

Unfortunately with that limitation I don't think we can qualify them. We need disks to fit into the tray to be able to qualify them.

Too bad really, as they are the only 8 TB drive suitable for NAS. They are pricy though, so I don't think many users would consider them.
- They are a bit pricey indeed, and i am not sure how the whole "sealed helium" is going to workout in the long run. but in combination with the 716 i have to say, it seems to be working like a champ, quick and roomy.
- iirc, isn't one required to remove the plastic guide depending on if it is 2.5" or 3.5" drive? i seem to recall that from the instructions.

- Thanks, Stephen, that is what i thought. so, it does fit fine since that "part" is optional anyway to the function, so really dont see a barrier to qualifying the drive. but regardless, will keep you posted if any issues pop up. best, George
