Uninterruptable Power Supply(UPS ) support on OS6
Hello all,
I have made enquiries internally on this topic. .
APC UPS that have a USB port are supported on 0S6 ReadyNAS. Only APC UPS's have been tested.
Other manufacturers may work, once they use the same USB API and driver, but these have not been tested.
The data I have:
APC 750ICH, APC BE450G and APC 1000ICH will work using USB2.0 and USB 3.0, on the full range of OS6, ie RN102, RN104, RN312, 314, 316,516.
APC 750ICH is for the China market. http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SUA750ICH&xtmc=SUA750ICH%2520-%2520APC%2520Smart-UPS%2520750VA%2520USB%2520%2526%2520Serial%2520230V%2520for%2520China&xtcr=2
BE540G is 120V input for North America market. http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=BE450G%2DCN&xtmc=BE450G-CN%2520-%2520APC%2520Back-UPS%2520450VA%252C%25208%2520outlet%252C%2520120V%2520Canada&xtcr=1
BR1000 has USB interface port. [url][ http://www.apc.com/products/resource/in ... xtcr=4/url]
Obviously, you will need to search for the product applicable to your country, as there are variants depending on Mains Voltage, and plug top shape/ form factor.
Replies re use of other manufacturer UPS are welcome. Regards Marto
