Update ReadyNAS Ultra 2 Plus from 4.2.15...no download of 4.2.16 available

I have ReadyNAS Ultra 2 Plus running firmware 4.2.15.  I haven't used it in a while and want to upgrade firmware.  Several community posts indicated that I need to upgrade to 4.2.16 before I attemtp to upgrade beyond that due to some glitches when jumping firmware versions from 4.2.15 to 4.2.19 or 4.2.20.

However, 4.2.16 does not appear to be available on the support web site. Next version up available on web site is 4.2.21.  Would I run into same problem if I ugrade directly to 4.2.21?  If so, what do I need to do to upgrade firmware?

I should mention that I have no driving need for any feartures or bug fixes in later firmware...I'm only using my ReadyNAS as a backup for computer on my home network.  So I could probably live with staying at 4.2.15 if I had to.  But I would like to keep my unit as up to date as possible.

    Hi dmmhelton,

    Welcome to the community!

You can get the 4.2.16 Firmware here and after loading this Firmware, ensure that you will update it to 4.2.17. Then jump to the latest Firmware.

    Kind regards,

Thanks for response.  The link you provided didn't help.  It sends me to the ReadyNAS home page.  As I mentioned, I already searched the downloads on that site and could not find firmware ver 4.2.16.

You're response says I also need to upgrade to 4.2.17 before jumping to 4.2.28.  I cannot find fireware 4.2.17 on that site either.  Can you point me to a location for these two firmware versions?

      Thanks,

      Doug

        Hi dmmhelton,

The last time I checked, those download links worked. Anyway, I have sent you a PM for the download link of each firmware.

        Kind regards,
