Upgrade from NV+ to Pro 4 (RNDP4000)
To whom it may concern, I have an existing ReadyNAS NV+ (Sparc machine) that has served me well for about 4 years. However, when we moved, proximity to the ocean air in Hawaii has begun to take it...

Ugh!
This means I need to:
1. Buy new hard drives for the new unit.
2. Manually configure all of the existing configuration (shares, users, services, etc.).
3. Do a MASSIVE data transfer from one unit to the other through the LAN.
4. Purchase a de-humidifier (as what I saw in the hardware manuals looks absolutely no different from my existing NV+).
If I add it all up, we're talking $650 for the Pro 4, $320 for (4) 500 MB drives, $150 for the dehumidifier and $500 for 1TB of cloud storage. That's almost $1,650 and probably 3 days of configuration and data transfer.
:(
