Upgrading from NV+(v1) to Pro 6
I am thinking of upgrading my NV+ (v1) to a Pro 6. More than thinking about it, just about to order the RNDP6000-200..
My NV+ has 4 x 2TB drives installed, I was wondering if I could take them out of the NV+ and transfer them straight into the Pro 6 and turn it on and my RAID-X would still be there? Data and all...
I know, optimistic, but I am hopeful..
If not, whats the best option to get the data from the NV+ to a new Pro 6 (RNDP6000-200)
Thanks

- Welcome to the forum! The Pro-6 is a great unit. You'll love the speed compared to your NV+!
The two disk formats are not compatible. You will need to transfer the data from the NV+ to the Pro over your network, or backup the data onto an external hard drive then copy it onto the Pro (this method is usually slower though)
mdgm has a guide for a modest fee that helps greatly for the timid. Look in his signature for the link. There is also lots of free info within these forums.
