Upgrading NV+ to RNDP4000
Dears all
I have a option to buy a ReadyNas RNDP4000
I have not so much information about it.
Is a very old model ?
are there big differences with my old NV+ ?
Do it use the new OS ?
thanks

This is also known as the ReadyNAS Pro - it was replaced in 2013 by the RN500 series.
So it would at least 5 years old. It normally runs OS 4.2.31, but it can be converted to OS 6.
Your NV+ disks are formatted differently from the pro, so you can't migrate your disks over - you'd need to do a factory reset/start with an empty volume.

The current RN52x ReadyNAS have 4 GB of error correcting memory, USB 3.0 interfaces, and at least one 10 gigabit ethernet interface.
The pro comes with 1 GB of memory (not error correcting), USB 2.0, and gigabit ethernet.
