USB RAID0 Enclosure - External Backup Compatability

I'm trying to use a NexStar MX dual bay drive enclosure that supports single disk, JBOD, RAID0 and RAID1. I used some good tips here on the forum to format the 2 3TB Seagate ST3000DM001 drives with ext3 format. The unit was then formatted using fuse-ext2 on my Mac as 6TB RAID partition on and is properly recognized on the Mac. In Frontview the device is reported as (Description, Used, Free, FS) as (JMicron H/W RAID0 [Partition 1], 0 MB, 196 MB, FAT). If there is a hardware incompatability here I would certainly appreciate an recommendations for a small/inexpensive/reliable alternate harware solution that is compatible with my NVX. Cheers.
