VMware Support & NO_ROOT_SQUASH
I want to use the ReadyNAS Duo as my datastore for VMware ESX 3.5. Is the ReadyNAS Duo compatible with VMware? And does the Ready NAS support NFS? Also, does it support the NO_ROOT_SQUASH option? ...

The ReadyNAS supports NFS with no_root_squash, viewtopic.php?p=143506#p143506
VMware should work with it fine. What are you going to be using the NFS datastore for? Just files/resources, or the actual VMs? You might find the throughput on the Duo too slow for hosting VMs, where the NVX or Pro would be a better fit.
