VMware Support & NO_ROOT_SQUASH
I want to use the ReadyNAS Duo as my datastore for VMware ESX 3.5. Is the ReadyNAS Duo compatible with VMware? And does the Ready NAS support NFS? Also, does it support the NO_ROOT_SQUASH option? ...

I used the IP address of my ESX host which is 192.168.1.230. I was able to get around this issue by using one of the shares the ReadyNAS Duo came pre-configured with. It's a share called "backup" and has NFS selected as one of the protocols. I just renamed that share to something more descriptive for what I need (datastore2). My ESX host was then able to connect to this share. But I was unable to create a new share and select the NFS protocol. Why is that??? I would like to be able to do that in case I need to create more NFS shares in the future. Thanks in advance for your help.
