  • Thanks for providing this information. I was getting worried about the length of time that had passed with zero 4TB drives being certified. They have now also certified the Hitachi HUS724040ALE640 4TB drive as well, although they are incorrectly listing this as a 3Gbps drive (according to the Hitachi product specs it is 6Gbps as would be expected for a 4TB drive).

    I think the 4200 v2 has SATA II ports (not sure about this). Anyway a lot of disks won't saturate SATA I let alone SATA II. Unless you use a 10 gigabit disk connection speed is unlikely to be a bottleneck in the 4200 v2.
