WD Red 5TB Disk WD50EFRX
Is there a reason the Western Digital 5 TB Red Disk, PN WD50EFRX is not on the compatibility list? All the other sizes of the red drives are up there: 1 TB, 2 TB, 3 TB, 4 TB, 6 TB.

The current datasheet for the RN300/RN500 series has a max capacity of 36 TB for the RN316 and RN516 (http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ ... -RN700.pdf). Netgear revised it sometime after the 6 TB drives came onto the market.
I'm not sure why 5 TB models aren't listed. My guess (just speculating) is that Netgear never got around to testing them. 6 TB drives came onto the market shortly after the 5 TB models were introduced.
Personally I think both 5 and 6 TB drives should be on the HCL for all the OS6 NAS - in my view, the HCL should list drives that are compatible, and the 16 TiB ceiling for the RN100 isn't really relevant. Though Netgear obviously disagrees.
