Hi, I have bought a ReadYNAS Ultra 6000 and installed 3 Westerd Digital WD20EARX-00PASB0 drives. Since they are not on the HCL I wanted to know if there is anyone who has this setup running and if...
anyway i went straight to my IT-Supporter today, he told me it shouldn't be a problem at all, if i just reformatted it using the software from readynas, where is this software? definitely not on the CD-ROM :S
EDIT : in fact he gave me the "are you stupid?" look when i told him my problem. TBH i have never heard of this myself, perhaps if i were going to use the raid-2x or whatever it is called that readynas have pre-config. but i want to use a raid5
