Western Digital Caviar Green WD30EZRS
Can anyone tell me if they rate this HDD.
I'm looking to get the Readynas Ultra Plus 2.
It's main function wil be for streaming music via Squeezebox and PC's and for safe storage of photos and documents.
We run a mix of Ubuntu and Windows in our house over a mostly wireless network.
Unfortunately my budget is limited and this is the only HDD I can find in the UK at a price that is within my range if I'm going to get the Ultra plus.

- Just make sure that this Hard drive is part of the compatibility list.
- I'm aware it is on the HCL but I was wondering about it's performance and reliability etc.
Having read further on the forums I've found some more answers which seem to indicate I shouldn't bother with the WD drives at all.
Back to the drawing board. - You are more likely to hear about bad experiences than good ones on these forums.
I use both WD and Seagate desktop drives- personally I've had more failures with the Seagate drives.
