What were the first Readynas 8-Bay systems?

What were the first Readynas 8-Bay systems?

Are they still in production or are they discontinued? Can they accept modern drives like 10TB?

Thanks

The RN528 and RN628 were launched in January 2017, the RN428 was announced in June 2017.  So these are current OS-6 platforms.

You can of course get more bays (up to 60) in rackmount models.

I haven't heard otherwise (and no announcements were made at CES in January).  Discontinuing them would be a surprising move on Netgear's part.  They are listed on netgear.com, and are generally in stock at distributors (for instance Amazon.com).

Of course they do regularly refresh the product families.  The RN310 and RN510 families were refreshed after four years (and were replaced by the RN420 and RN520 families).  Although the RN31x and RN51x are no longer being manufactured, they are fully supported, and OS 6 firmware updates support all OS 6 platforms.
