where to get new PSU for Readynas 4200 / how to disable beep
Hi, one of the psu of my readynas 4200 died yesterday. I have two questions: 1. Where can I order a new psu? 2. Are there alternatives, for example a psu which make less noise? Or would it be...

Hi Henri,
I have the same problem with an unpowered psu. Can you tell me if you solved the beep problem?

The chassis for the 4200 is a standard SuperMicro one and power supplies (Ablecom PWS-702A-1R on my 4200V2) are avalable lots of places. I bought a used pair for $20 plus shipping on eBay. Note that while other wattages are available, SuperMicro does not recommend mixing them.
As for shutting off the beep, it's supposed to turn off if you pull out the unused/broken supply. I've not tried it, though.
