Which NAS
I have a ReadyNAS NVX with 4 disks. As one of my backup disks is now too small, I can either get a bigger one or take the opportunity to buy a new product, then usethe NVX as a backup (with ReadyNAS R...
What I do is re-create my shares on the new NAS, and then create an rsync job for each on the new NAS. They will end up in the the correct shares.

I also use frontview backup for backing up those shares (same concept in the reverse direction), though you can use replicate as well.
