If it plugs in, it is compatible. As to powering on, the only way I know to power on an NV+ is to press the front power button. It it won't power on, it has a serious problem. In that situation, get back with Tech Support and have it escalated. If there were a power button on the back, it would be like those on some PC power supplies, they can kill the power to the PC, but turning it on will not turn on the PC (front button must be pressed). (Note: PC's prior to ATX standard (1980's to early 1990's did turn on by the PSU button).
