Air Video - Limited to 5 Files HELP!

I've installed the Air Video add on to my ReadyNAS Ultra 2 plus. After installing the add on, I've put the free app on my iPhone which allows only the first five files to be accessed (so I could try it out first) The problem is that now I've upgraded the iPhone app to the full paid version & added my ReadyNAS as a server, I can still only access the same 5 files

I've deleted the original free app, stopped the air video service, rebooted the NAS, restarted the service but still no joy. Can anyone help?

Regards

John

  • Thanks I've posted a message there. However I think the problem is on the NAS with the add on. I've now downloaded the iPad app & installed it on another two devices. They too only see the first five files.

It's as though trying it first with the free version has registered something with the add on that is now preventing the full version of the app from seeing all files.
  • I'm a stage further I think but lost as to how I resolve. I need to edit the settings.

I've installed ssh & connected to the NAS as root. In c/webroot/airvideo/readynas.properties there is a line:

    folders = Media:/c/media/Videos

How do I edit this? I have a share called media with several folders inside. "Videos" is just one so AirVideo app is only showing the files in the route of the media share & those in Videos folder.

Is it possible to modify this without ssh as I'm not sure how to do this. Any help appreciated.
  • Anyone out there help me?

I need to edit the folder that air video points to. I have installed ssh & have used in terminal (MAC OSX):

    SSH root@192.168.200.251
    cd /c/webroot/AirVideo/
    more readynas.properties
The output shows folders = Media:/c/media/Videos

I need to edit the readynas.properties file to folders = Media:/c/media as I have four more folders within the media share. Until I can edit this, connecting using iPhone app only shows the files & folders within Videos rather all folders & files within the media share. What do I need to edit this entry? Can it be done directly or do I need to copy the readynas.properties file from the NAS to my local machine edit it & put it back. If so, how do I do this?
  • Well what a div I feel

Been messing around using terminal & trying to find out what commands to use to edit the file with my Mac only to find in another post that I could open the file directly using notepad in Windows.
