Android Remote client v1.1 - "Application Not Available"
Hi guys - sorry if this is a noob question; searched the Forums but can't find any reference, so.....
I've got ReadyNAS Remote v 1.1 on Android 2.3.3 (Samsung Galaxy S2).
Seems ok up to a point, connection to the NAS is a bit of a lottery.... but there are a couple of major glitches I can't seem to iron out...
Firstly, after downloading a .jpg (say), to the phone in Remote, there's a 'View' option... which epically fails... I just get an 'Application Not Available' error. Same thing if I try to view a downloaded .jpg under the 'local' tab in Remote. Seems like the app just cannot either display images itself (does it have a built-in viewer?) or launch my default .jpg viewer on the phone (I use the estrongs ES Image Browser). Does everyone get this behaviour, or is it just me ?
Also - does anyone else have problems with this App keeling over when reading very long directory listings ? I cannot get it to open my 'Music' folder, which contains 40Gb+ of music.... but if I split it out into subdirectories 'A-G', H-M'.... etc etc then it works fine. When it dies, on the long listing, it dies in big style... the entire App just keels over and I get dropped back to my phone desktop.
Any comments gratefully received - thanks in advance -
Chris.

- jm50AspirantAndroid Remote client 1.1, Android 2.3.5, Samsung Galaxy S2:
Same issues in my case.
- After having downloaded a .jpg file, then pressing the View button says 'Document cannot be opened because it is not a valid PDF-File' . But this might be an Android issue
- Exactly same issue with reading directories containing hundreds of subdirectories: The application just closes.
I already opened a thread on the second issue:
