can't connect to ReadyNAS server
Popup Box :
"ReadyNAS Remote could not connect to the ReadyNAS server, please check your internet connection and DNS settings. If the ReadyNAS is behind an HTTP proxy, please make sure you have entered correct proxy server settings"
but the thing is, I have checked with my ISP, they don't run proxy.
I have changed my modem to a new one.
I have installed the ReadyNASRemoteFrontendFix_0.0.2.bin which installed fine.
I tried installing ReadyNASRemote.bin from the http://www.readynas.com/?p=1435 as suggested by some, but it has a checksum error flagged durring the install (downloaded several times over the last day)
I am not sure how to check what version I am running anyway, but as the ReadyNAS is brand new, and it seems some of the fixes disscussed are old I'm not sure that would be an issue.
Suggestions please.

Please.... Anybody? - g00sAspirantSame issue here: "ReadyNAS Remote could not connect to the ReadyNAS server, please check your internet connection and DNS settings. If the ReadyNAS is behind an HTTP proxy, please make sure you have entered correct proxy server settings"
Not using a proxy server and ReadyNAS Duo is connected directly to a Verizon FiOS modem, meaning I don't have an additional router on the network. The ReadyNAS has an static IP address if that is of any importance.
For troubleshooting I have (1) reinstalled ReadyNAS firmware, (2) reinstalled ReadyNAS Remote add-on v1.0.9.78, (3) restarted P2P under ReadyNAS remote management, and (4) added Verizon's DNS servers directly into the ReadyNAS DNS Servers under Network ->Global Settings.
When looking into the LeafP2P.log file, I see there is no proxy:
"Applying firewall 0
Applying rescan devices 1
url https://peernetwork.netgear.com:443//peernetwork/services/LeafNetsConfigWebService
No proxy
url https://peernetwork.netgear.com:443//peernetwork/services
url https://peernetwork.netgear.com:443//peernetwork/services/LeafNetsWebServiceV2
"....
and then I see an error:
"Member NAS_000DA20xxxx4

Any other suggestions for troubleshooting anyone? - opsandAspirantI have the same problem:
"ReadyNAS Remote could not connect to the ReadyNAS server, please check your internet connection and DNS settings. If the ReadyNAS is behind an HTTP proxy, please make sure you have entered correct proxy server settings"
I'm not connected to a proxy server, the readynas ftp and http services work just fine - so it seems to me that the readynas remote add-on has a problem accessing the the remote-readynas network.
I can log in with the readynas remote program on my pc and iphone and at https://remote.readynas.com/
I have been googling the problem but found no answer, strange that this issue has not been made a priority - tech's seem to offer no advice ?
Strange when so many people have this problems and it's such a highly advertised feature...
I'm running:
NV+ RAIDiator 4.1.8
Readynas remote v1.0.9.78
router dhcp
port forwarding 6300 - star_grinderAspirantI have the same verizon configuration and get the same error. I have tried all the same trouble shooting methods you all have described and still can not connect. I am able to see my server via my android and iphone devices but when I try to open it to see files I get the "Could not establish a remote connection to ReadyNAS" error. Prior to getting Verizon I was running readyNAS fine over my linksys router. This leads me to belive that it is some config setting in the Verizon modem that is preventing the tool from working. This is frustrating.
- tkhAspirantMy readynas duo used to work ok with remote and now doesn't. I oo get the ReadyNAS Remote could not connect to the ReadyNAS server, please check your internet connection and DNS settings.
I'm running raidiator 4.18. I removed remote and then reinstalled, same problem. I'm not behind a proxy server. It's almost as if the readynas server has disappeared or access to it had changed in some way.
I've tried the front end fix, and stooped and restarted remote
I'm on a duo
remote 1.0.9.78
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks
