Can't install nano
Hi,
I seem to be unable to install nano. I get the following message:
I did apt-get update (even sudo apt-get), but to no avail. I'm on an Ultra 2 (4.2.27).

- brtskiAspirantNo one to help me?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou would need to uncomment the last line in your /etc/apt/sources.list
Then re run
# apt-get update && apt-get install nano - brtskiAspirantThanks for the reply!
How do I uncomment the last line? I'm a bit of a Linux-noob - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou can e.g. use the vi command to do that.
- brtskiAspirantI'll try that when I get home, thanks
- brtskiAspirantIf I do
I get the following output:vi /etc/apt/sources.list
with lots of ```````#deb http://archive.debian.org/debian etch main
So not really a line for me to uncomment. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe # at the start of that line needs removing.
- brtskiAspirantAwesome! That worked.
I should have started this thread stating I'm a Linux noob. Oh well...
