Dropbox not syncing
Hi,
I have Dropbox 1.4.17 installed on my Readynas Ultra 4 running radiator 4.2.21.
For a couple of days everything ran smoothly, but then suddenly it stopped syncing. I've tried restarting the service, restarting the Readynas, relinking the account, uninstall/reinstall Dropbox, but nothing helps.
There are no error messages in Frontview - it says the service is running and that an account is linked.
Any suggestions highly appreciated!

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDId you install this add-on?: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=58647
If so do you have the latest version (currently 0.9.7) of the add-on installed?
If you didn't install this add-on how did you install Dropbox? - WhoCares_MentorMost common reasons for Dropbox no longer syncing is one or more of:
- Lost network or DNS connectivity
- Wrong date/time setting on the ReadyNAS
- Incompatible change of file/directoriy permissions on the Dropbox folder
and lastly
- accidental removal of the ReadyNAS from the linked devices list
Please check for all of these with a focus on network and date settings.

Hi,
I've checked three of your suggestions:
- Network connectivity is OK
- Time and date is correct (connected to Netgears time servers)
- All Dropbox folders have guest access
I am not sure where to find the linked devices list. Is this somewhere in ReadyNAS frontview or on Dropbox website? Or somewhere else? In the Dropbox add-on section of Frontview there is a green light and says a Dropbox account has been linked.
Many thanks for your help! - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHow full is the data volume on your NAS? If it's pretty much full (say only a few GB free) then syncing isn't going to work either.
On the Dropbox website login and go to Settings > Security. Is your device listed there? How recent is the most recent activity? - monstertruckAspirantThere's plenty of free space (>1 TB) on the volume, so that should not be a problem.
The device is listed as linked on the Dropbox website with most recent activity in the last hour. But the files still will not sync!
Now I tried to unlink the NAS from the Dropbox website and relink it with the link obtained from Frontview. The NAS once again shows up among the linked devices, but still no files are being synced. I'm really confused... - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you post a screenshot?
- monstertruckAspirantSure, here is what it looks like from Frontview:
Or did you mean a screenshot from something else? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThat looks right.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo you have problems syncing both ways (i.e add file to Dropbox on PC/Mac or add file to Dropbox on share in NAS, you get the problem)?
More details would be good.
