It's not open source so I doubt that. If NetGear had been able to get Photos II running satisfactorily on the Sparc units they would have made a Sparc add-on available. They did try to port it. As yoh-dah indicated in the opening post there will be a community add-on alternative solution for those who do not wish to migrate to a new ReadyNAS unit.
