Hi, I just got my NAS set up and thought it would be great to wifi stream video to my iPad,I installed the app on the pad but it asks me for a IP address (so I enter that of the NAS) it also asks for a port? what do i use?I know doubt have got this all wrong and there's probably an easier way of streaming to the pad,Any help would be greatly appreciated.Oh and Happy new year to one and All.Best Regards Dave S. :roll:

Unfortunately, you'll need to install AirVideo server on your PC and leave your PC on for this to work. To access the NAS content, you'll need to map a drive to the NAS on your PC, then add this to the list of folders you want to share out in the Air Video Server app. Then add the PC IP address in Air Video on the iPad. There are ways you can connect directly to the NAS (eg DLNA) but AirVideo will convert pretty much any file type on the fly. Hope this helps.Thanks.

If you have an X86 ReadyNAS, such as the Ultra, Pro or NVX, just install the AirVideo add-on from here: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=49079I just set it up on my new Ultra and it works great with live conversion. Still trying to determine if it's possible for remote access, but so far it's a great start. Haven't tried 1.1 yet.

Ok,Using a pro and the new readynas plugin, but every single file is showing up as invalid on my ipad, even ones that are already iPad ready. Any thoughts on what i might be missing? Anyone get this to work as a remote yet, or is that still a pc only feature.Thanks in advanceDoc

I instal Air Server 1.0 and 1.1. on my readynas pro. Dont work!Servis run, klient on my Ipad no work... see nas, but connect in Nas - media 0 files... Please, tell me, step by step install connect nas and ipad.

If you have your main volume shred you can use any text edit that supports unix text (LF only). I usualy use UltraEdit, but there's a free (for personal use) editor called Edit Pad Lite if you're using a Windows machine.

I updated the file (Config file)

I see the server...see all the folders....see all the files. I was prompted for the password. Unfortunately the all still say Invalid, AVI files and MPEG files.

People with invalid files are probably NVX systems? The add-on only has 64-bit ffmpeg in it, but the NVX is 32-bit, so it can't run there.

Nope...Invalid on an Ultra, not NVX.

I use NVX, and get Invalid... ...is it impossible to use NVX with AirVideo?

What version of RAIDiator is installed on your ReadyNAS? Could you try rebooting and then attempting to install the add-on again?

May be possible, but no addon to do it at this time. Hopefully super-poussin releases an addon that'll run on the NVX.

It's the latest version (Production, not Beta). I rebooted twice and still invalid.

Try a firmware (OS) re-install, then attempt to install the addon again.

Has anyone resolved this? I have the NVX and getting an 'invalid' error for all of my video. Tried all kinds of types and conversions types but everything is showing as invalid. I am running latest RAIDiator 4.2.15.

Also tried re-installing the Add-On, and rebooting and OS RAIDiator Re-install.

I did find that MP4's do play. *BUT* AVI, MKV, etc. will NOT!

I think this is broke...or maybe we need to update or configure something.
