Installed Headphones & CouchPotato - Sickbeard died :(

Hi,

Noob with limited skills here.

I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 2, I recently decided to run CouchPotato and Headphones as well as Sickbeard, Transmission and SABnzbd.

I installed both Add-on's late at night with the intent to explore and learn after work the next day. I entered in a few bits of information, mainly my NZBmatrix ID etc.

Last night when I got home I discovered that Sickbeard isn't working, and shutting down/resetting Add-on's and/or the NAS itself does not fix it.
Interestingly, a friend of mine with an identical setup installed the same Add-on's and suffered the same result.

He got his to work again by:

Stopping CouchPotato & Headphones
Removing Sickbeard
Install Sickbeard
Add SABnzbd over the top as it reported an incorrect Unrar version.

He also had to reset all of his settings.

Understandably I am not keen to do this myself unless I utterly have to, thus I decided to ask here; has this issue been resolved before? is there a way around it?

here is a copy/paste of the Sickbeard screen as I currently see it.

Any clues/insights would be utterly awesome, thanks!

  • I have a Duo V2, but...

If you haven't yet, download and read the pdf guide here to get an idea on how to set these up: http://www.totalhtpc.com/the-complete-guide-for-setting-up-sabnzbd-sick-beard-couchpotato-and-headphones/

I would uninstall those addons and start over by just installing the Sab addon and get it set up and working. Then one at a time install & setup Sick, Couch & Head. Some of sab's settings will automagically carry over.
  • I had the same issue. I can get Sickbeard and Couch Potato to work, but as soon as I add Headphones, it kills Sickbeard. The developer was initially responsive when contacted, but haven't heard back in a while. I'm looking at trying to install it from apt instead.
  • instead of trying apt, why not get the source via git, if you're in the shell anyway?

    worked nicely for me.

as to the error above, could you check if /usr/share/sickbeard is a symlink to /c/.sickbeard?

    cheers
