Installing .bin files
Hi All, Please be patient, I am a complete newbie and this is my first NAS machine!!! :shock: I have manged to download addons from the market place but have no idea how to do it from the comm...
SSHing in allows you to execute shell commands (Linux command line commands) on the ReadyNAS, similar to what you would do in the Terminal on a Mac/Linux machine.
There is information available on the web for this stuff.
Look for tutorials, MAN pages etc.
APT is pre-installed.
To use SSH you would enable SSH in the Dashboard then SSH in as the 'root' user (password will initially be the same as for the 'admin' user).
