Installing Logitech Media Server 7.9.2 on ReadyNAS Ultra

If you are using ReadyNAS OS6, the version 7.9.0 (although not the latest) is available here: https://github.com/NAStools/logitechmediaserver This version works for me on ReadyNAS OS6. I have also opened an issue with him asking him to upgrade it to 7.9.2 (hopefully he will). If you're using OS4, you might try 7.9.2 from here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.9 but it's difficult for me to help you with this version since I am on OS6. I see you tried the bin version above but there's a slightly newer one now: logitechmediaserver-7.9.2-1547616941-i386-readynas.bin You'd have to look at your system logs to find out the error it's having. Might be something with perl and locale ... I remember having some issues there. But you'd have to check the system logs or see if you can find a way to turn on debug for LMS.
In the posting here: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?74630-squeezeboxserver-only-available-to-root-(gentoo)&langid=1&styleid=3 they seemed to have the same error. But again, your logs are vague so far. You need to look at system logs or turn on debug.
Depending on where it is actually installed like /var/lib/squeezeboxserver you might have permissions issues in which case you have to chmod that directory: See: https://volumio.org/forum/lms-plugin-err-connection-refused-t11170.html
