Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to use this app - specifically how to logon? The authors web site says that logon accounts are created at install, but the install package is silent for the readynas. I have a logon screen and no accounts to get me in to do anything.
Maybe the person who listed this app for download can help please?

- SylphideTutorReadynas 312 has better CPU than the new Synology DS214play. It is important for Plex, as transcoding still depends on CPU if I remember well. (ffmpeg seems to work on Readynas too, but is not used for Airplay or Surveillance app?)
I agree with you, mail can be complex. We have to be patient, and spin down has priority. DNS (bind9) and web management (apache2) is not so complicated on the other hand I suppose. VPN interface would be interesting too. And yes, Zimbra would be very cool.
I hope a Netgear developper will comment this. - xeltrosApprenticeYep but hasn't the 214 play a specific part to transcode ? I thought play model had some CPU helper for that. For me that transcode capability was the "play" thing. At least they claim 1080P transcode (the learn more will give you the full list of transcoded formats) http://www.synology.com/en-us/products/ ... /DS214play
Yes, VPN would be cool too, although you have an add-on for that. The point is that a NAS is mainly an Hard drive with network support. I'm not that sure that I would let my NAS do the heavy lifting for my network, just because of security concerns.
I don't think anyone from Netgear will comment even if they read, because if they did they would have to make sure they keep their promises which would put pressure on them. I think they would rather stay quiet and take notes to surprise us later. They refused to comment on 6.2.0 on other posts so that would be logic that they didn't say anything in here. - SylphideTutorYes but I read that Plex is not working properly on DS214play, because it still uses CPU only. The good hardware and the opened Debian system make the Readynas a very good choice.
I believe nothing is left to chance. Netgear team has compared all Synology features and has a timeline project planning. But, you know, little transparency never hurts... - xeltrosApprenticeYes I agree full Debian is a tremendous advantage.
That said iptables and fail2ban integration should have been default for a internet connected device IMO.
I also believe they have their timeline in mind and I agree that I would gladly take any information they give me. But I also understand why they don't give them. - baddAspirantDoes anyone had a problem with uninstal iredmail? When i go into Applications menu, there is a button uninstal. When i press it it looks like its deleting, but after that i am seeing 2 iredmail icon and readynas log telling me: "unninstal failed".
What shall i do to delete this? - baddAspirantAfter 6.1.9 update is even funnier. When i press uninstal, 3 or 4 iredmail app appear... What is wrong with it?
- Marto731AspirantHi,
iredmail has Rabaca as the author. http://apps.readynas.com/pages/?page_id=9
I see an email address, after searching for that name, on post of 21st Feb last.

So can I ask users to mail or PM.
A 2nd option, is log a support ticket, with screenshots, logs, and relevant details. Level 2 escalate to Level3.
L3 send to developers, who can contact the Add-on authors.
Officially Netgear do not comment on 3rd party add-ons. Forum support is best effort.
Regards, Marto
