iSCSI Issues ReadyNAS duo
Hi guys,
I have iSCSI issues and I am hoping someone can help - basically I am having the same problem as AlanP - last post in this thread. (I have posted here because it seemed more approriate)
http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&p=273111#p273111
I am running latest "iscsi target" (paypal button present no config options) - firmware on nas 4.1.7-T49 (yes I know new one is out but dont see this as the prob)
I have created a 40 gb isci file - stopped and started services on NAS. Added IP of NAS to initiator in Windows 7 (stopped and started) service, refreshed targets but the 40 gig LUN is never seen as a target. Just like Alan I'm not sure what else to try as all looks good on the NAS and no matter what I do the initiator will not see the LUN. I am used to working with a Netapp and never had this problem :(
All help and suggestions appreciated.

Having followed all of the instructions and successfully got a iSCSI drive configured and operating, if I do a 'ps ax' on the SSH command line I see a single [istd] task and a number of [istiod1] tasks. The Windows client interface still shows the paypal information but no config button or notification of the configuration.
Perhaps this is a change between the old and new installations as I am using RAIDiator 4.1.7 [1.00a043]?
We're talking about two different things ;) When I wrote "Windows client interface" I meant the interface of the Windows iSCSI initiator, not the web interface you're seeing in your browser on Windows when looking at Frontview. Since I'm on the road with only my iPad at my disposal, I have to give my answers from memory only which is why I got the namd of the [istiod1] processes wrong. Sorry for that.
