- Nemo7777AspirantIm not sure about this... May be I can I describe my problem better?
- veehexxAspirantnot wishing to pressure you into it, but S-P is trustworthy. he's SSH'd into my box a few times to fix transmission issues. i do change my admin password though since my usual password is one i use for work purposes too - cant let that fall into the wrong hands ;)
i do understand your concerns though - i had similar ones the first time he requested SSH.
are you confident with SSH yourself? maybe SP could forward on the locations of transmission so you can perform a manaul removal? (i presume it's a simple case of delete files, rather than additions to existing files).
another thought nemo - i see your registered early '09. are you running the latest raidator firmware (4.1.6 i beleive)? that is a bit of a wild guess, but im thinking of an old library that isnt fully compatible with transmission. im not sure what the FAQ says, but if your are on an earlier version it might be worth taking a backup of your files, updating, and then starting from scratch in terms of readynas firmware. a reinstall would most likely fix your issue, but it is a drastic measure - dth1AspirantYou can fix all the stop/start issues by using an inverted grep (grep -v) instead of single greps in the transtop.sh
# Stop torrents
RUNING="$($REMOTE $TRANSOPT -l | tail -n +2 | head -n -1 | grep -v Stopped |awk '{ print $1; }' | awk -F "*" '{ print $1; }')"
echo $RUNING > /c/addons-config/Transmission/downloading.txt
That way everything except the explicitly stopped torrents are saved in the downloading.txt and restored by transtart.sh - veehexxAspirantwell, transmission has thrown a huge fit (2.01final).
webgui says one thing [torrent x].
transmission remote says [torrent y].
resume a torrent Y from trans.Remote, torrent X in wegbui resumes.
some sort of weird freaky identifier issue by the look of things. once i've finished my remaining torrents, im going to completely wipe transmission (hopefully easily found via ssh/extplorer) and start again. it's been playing up for a while now and had various tweaks and upgrades/downgrades done on it so i think a spring clean will help.
@ SP - if you can, could you post up all the locations where the addon exists/ammends/whatever? im going to remove it via frontview, but for my own sanity, i'd like to double confirm the files no longer exist (things like changed/incorrect permissions stopping deletion etc). - Nemo7777AspirantHi there!
Thank you for all your comments!
But if it possible - describe here, or 'send' me somewhere else, how to delete this add-on via CLI. I hope after this the new installation will solve problem...
p.s. I have latest radiator - 4.1.6 [1.00a043] - super_poussinVirtuoso

sh /etc/frontview/addons/TRANSMISSION.remove - veehexxAspirantSP - im still having issues with transmission and resuming their last status when the transmission service is restarted.
i'm now back on a freshly rebuilt machine, running 2.03 final. - super_poussinVirtuoso

Can you give me ssh access ? ( PM me) - veehexxAspirantgimme 5mins....
- sjwAspirantUpdated to Transmission 2.03.
Can't connect to Transmission Interface though..
Stopped and started service - and it says it's doing it. Rebooted NAS (DUO) too but it's still the same..
In an SSH shell, when it's saying it's starting I type:ps -ef|grep -i trans
It returns with:admin 1696 1349 3 11:43 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/perl /etc/frontview/addons/ui/TRANSMISSION/TRANSMISSION_HANDLER.pl
root 1698 1697 1 11:43 ? 00:00:00 sh /var/spool/frontview/60_SERVICE_TRANSMISSION
root 1699 1698 0 11:43 ? 00:00:00 /bin/bash /etc/frontview/addons/bin/TRANSMISSION/start.sh
root 1719 1678 0 11:43 pts/0 00:00:00 grep -i trans
Once it says it's started though aps -ef|grep -i trans
returnsroot 1751 1678 0 11:44 pts/0 00:00:00 grep -i trans
i.e. nothing is starting..
Any ideas?
EDIT: I removed Transmission completely using Frontview and re-installed it. It is running now - but all the torrents have gone. Can I get them back?
