- ArafelAspirantDoes anyone know if the x86 version of Transmission is still under development? It seems to be 3 versions behind and 2.75 included a major bug fix I am looking for. Has it gone a pay for update like the other arm/sparc versions of transmission? It is one of my must have addons for readynas ultra and would gladly pay (though would want a onetime with updates unlike the sparc versions). Thanks.

My lab is off for the moment because I move to a new location and need to reinstall everything and change my switch (the actual is too noisy ) with a fanless one I hope to receive quickly.
I hope to be able to produce new addons and updates by the end of the month
cheers - smiley1081AspirantHello,

1. I can log in fine but how do you change the default password?
Where is the other post which explains how to change the password? - hooperAspirantI am moving transmission from my NV+ to an Ultra 2. However I noticed in the web ui for transmission on the ultra that there is no option to deselect all files under inspector for a specific torrent. So if the torrent has 2 bazillion files and you only want 2 of them, there is really no way to accomplish this. Anyone have any ideas?

Saw the other thread on this. Downloading Transmission Remote.... - sverker_norrmanAspirantI have tried changing the settings in Transmission 2.76 but it does not accept them. How can I turn off Transission without turning off the NAS?
Transmission looses contact with my tracker after some time, 15 minutes to hours without anything else happening. This started all of a sudden for a few weeks ago. I uppgrade to 2.76 but no change. - JarnoGGuideI don't know much about the new Dashboard, so I can't help you with turning Transmission off and on, but to help you solve the problem I would like to know if you loose contact with the tracker while still downloading or when you're seeding?
If it happens while seeding, it might be that the required port is not properly forwarded to your NAS by your router. In the web interface of Transmission is an option which says something like "use port forwarding from my router" or something with "upnp" (the exact words depend on which interface you're using). You should turn this on and (if upnp is also turned on on your router), the connection to the tracker should work again. - sverker_norrmanAspirantThe port is forwared and it happens both seeding and receiving

hi hooper could you throw up a link to the other thread you mentioned? i can't find it, been looking around for a bit...i need to be able to select all as well, and want to see what you were reading before i install transmission remote
thanks - TintoAspirantHi!
Is it possible to use an external usb drive or even an usb flashdrive as default download directory for Transmission?
This would let the torrents download and seed until finished on the external drive, and then manually or with a script move them onto the internal drive. The reason I would like to do this is to spare the internal drives from alot of "wear and tear" since I seed torrents 24/7 from my NAS.
/Tinto - Mr_BGuideYou got "download-dir", and "incomplete-dir" in settings.json. Figgure out what the path to your USB drive looks like, and stick it in there, and you should be golden. I'm thinking performance might be an issue, but that depends on so many other factors.
Um, good luck, i think?
B!
