New Transmission add-on thread

I have the same problem. I thought Transmission had been un-installed. In /etc/frontview/addons there is no "TRANSMISSION.remove". Nothing either in /tmp/addons.
I found a bunch of files in \\NVX\addons-config\Recycle Bin\Transmission, but removing them didn't make any difference.
I can't think where else to look

edit /etc/default/services and remove all TRANSMISSION reference

please backup the file first

That did the trick. There were three references to TRANSMISSION in that file. I deleted them and the installation went perfectly.

This is very strange behavior from Transmission.
Because it has worked from the first time i installed v2.11 and i have always updated when a new release was announced but i stopped at v2.31.
Then about 2-3 weeks ago i experienced what many did that Transmission shut down because of memory leak.
I tried to go back in versions but same behavior from earlier version that i know worked.
So i deleted Transmission and tried Bittorrent but find it useless when i can´t choose different download location for each of my torrent.
I tried to install the latest Beta but same again so i deleted it again and went back to v2.11.
Then suddenly it works :)
I tried to add torrent that i already downloaded and it started to verify the data.
Now i´m seeding 7 torrent,verifying 1 torrent 77GB and downloading 2 torrent.
I use Transmission Remote and i experience the interface as fast.
Before it could take up to 10-20s to ad a torrent.

I wish i could say what i did to fix the problem but i´m just happy not that it works.

First post here - just found transmission last night as the bittorent client had issues for me (wouldn't find peers??).

I've searched around the forum and the only thread I could find about this issue was marked closed.

I like the interface of transmission a lot more although I am getting the error message "Connection Failed - Could not connect to the server. You may need to reload the page to reconnect".

Sometimes it comes up after only a few minutes and other times after an hour or so.

When I get the error message I go to frontview (ReadyNAS Duo - 4.1.7 Transmission 2.33) and notice that although Transmission is ticked the green light is not lit. If I uncheck the tick box and hit save it says it has stopped the service but the green light comes on (and vice versa).

I haven't messed with any of the files at all.

Suggestions anyone?

Today I upgraded to the a 2.34.04 version from a 2.33.xx (cant remember last 2).

Been seeding a good few torrents for ages and suddenly none of them seeds anymore - I only get status "Unknown".

Whenever I download a torrent it finishes and ends up with the same status "unknown".

Reannouncing, rechecking...nothing works. Using 2 different trackers and same bad result on both.

Any ideas on this?

seeding and reseeding works on my side , will try some other trackers

Had time to look at it again today - and now I couldn't even get Transmission to start. Tried repairing, restarting several times, restarting the NAS and what not.

Reverted back to 2.33.02

In one pop I was back on track, everything seeds and works fine. The trackers I've connected with are what.cd and torrentleech.

Apologies, where can I get the latest version ? The main thread doesn't seem to have links to 2.33.02 and 2.34.04 ?
