Transmission says that "Port is closed" when I check the port in the UI menu.
I've tried a variety of versions, neither of them are working.
I've checked my router, and the port is open. (Even tried to change the port, and I can see that my router automatically changes so that the chosen port is open)
I also tried to use the "in-built" torrent client, but this is not working either.
I recently moved, and as far as I can remember, I was able to use the Transmission Add-On before this.
I've brought the router from my old house, but I've changed the ISP.
I first thought that the ISP in some way was blocking Torrent traffic, until i booted up my Ubuntu machine and tested Transmission from this. Works like a charm.
I'm lost here. Are there any others who have encountered this (and found a solution)?
EDIT:
Oh, and...
Current version:
RAIDiator 4.1.7
Transmission 2.31
As it can be seen in other posts I also have problems getting Transmission 2.42 to work as expected om NV+. Reverting to the built-in BitTorrent client works so I'm pretty sure the problem is Transmission. I'm more then willing to turn on more logging, do debugging, etc if you someone help me with what to do. - MrAskerTutor

My duo dies last week, I'm looking for a replacement hoping the disks are good
sorry for this guy - mcpetercAspirantHi.
I just did a factory reset on my NVX BE. I made a RAID 0 config.
The first thing I did when bootet up, was to download latest stable version of transmission. When I try to install the addon im getting this error:
Installation of this add-on conflicts with an existing service. Aborting installation.
I tried several other versions but its all the same.
I noted that when I search for an RAIDiator update, the NAS says theres an update, RAIDiator 4.2.19, but thats the version thats currently installed! hmm.
I had transmission on the NAS before the factory reset and that was working perfectly.
What can I do?
Best regards and thanks for an awesome addon! - Nutty667AspirantI've just installed Transmission 2.50 for ARM, and now the open torrent button does't do anything in standard mode. Kettu mode works ok though.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHave you tried clearing your web browser cache (e.g. Temporary Internet Files)? Do you get an error message?
Were you running a previous version of the add-on? - WhoCares_MentorAlso, have you tried using a different browser?
-Stefan - Nutty667AspirantYeah I had the previous version installed. Using Chrome, I tried force refreshing with CTRL+F5.
I've just tried it again and it works now.. how odd. Must've been a cache thingy.
Also, while I'm here. If I set my torrents to start immediately, quite often I get "tracker returned an error: Error data lost". This happens adding the torrent manually, or even using the watch directory. I've tried googling for info, but no-one seems to mention that error. Also it only seems to happen private torrents I think. - mcpetercAspirantWhen I am adding new torrents they download 3-4% and then stops. Inside transmission remote the torrents goes red (broken)??
I just fatory reset my nas (NVX) and updated transmission to newest version. Does anyone have a clue here?
Regards
EDIT: Oh I can see theres an error: Error: Permission denied (/c/media/BitTorrent/torrantname) Where do I set permissions correct?
EDIT2: I have now enabled SSH access and logged in as root. But what do I do now? - gibxxiGuide

The NAS doesn't check the latest version against your installed version, it simply displays the latest version on the update server, so you'll always see that message.
