- JarnoGGuideDid you shut down the Transmission add-on before you changed settings.json? If you set rpc-authentication-required to true, it should ask for a un/pw if they are set.

Hello, yes. I have got the password to work now. (kind of, it's seems unreliable, works sometimes others not)
I think the main problem changing the settings.json file was that I am not able to shut down transmission. It says Transmission shutdown successfully. But was probably running anyway. And when I start it it says it failed to start. (which I know realise was because one file have reverted back to original settings).
Now I am mostly confused about the addons-config folder, that I posted about in the post above.
But I guess that if I only make the selection of default access to the share deactivated this will be solved? - Mr_BGuide
I got this issue as well. I cant connect to Transmission after restarting the NAS, i have to turn of Transmission in frontview, even as it says it's not running, and then restart it to get the failed to start message, and after that it works as "intended". For me the issue showed it's face after installing another addon, and i cant seam to shake it. I guess whiping the system and starting over would work, but i sort of don't have anywhere else to store close to 6 TB worth of data. Even if it's mostly redundant copies, it's a hassle...c014 wrote:

B! - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHave you tried re-installing the Transmission add-on over the top of itself (don't remove it, just install the add-on again)? What was the other add-on you installed?
- Mr_BGuideI tried installing it again, i tried updating to the newer version, and i tried installing and reinstalling. No luck. The other add-on was the "No Led" mod, so i could dim the lights, but it might have been a fluke that it happened at that time. *shrugs* No blame on Super-Poussin, the goodies are free.
B! - c014AspirantI dont know where my post went, but anyway.
My problem was that blocklist.sh wasnt configured with user/pass.
Thank god this was pretty easy to install. I am terrified to install addons on my nas, this is the first I ever installed. And I was scared that it would break down and all my data would get lost. It would feel safer with some kind of offical torrent addon from netgear. - Mr_BGuide
Um, there is a BitTorrent client included with the ReadyNAS NV+ v1, at least. It sucks, i couldn't find a useful way ti integrate it with a PC as controller, and bandwidth was sad, at best. It didn't make me feel the least bit "safe", but it's there, you can use it. It did work.c014 wrote: It would feel safer with some kind of offical torrent addon from netgear.

Well, then they could make a client that dont suck.
What I mean is that all this addon stuff seem to need pretty much tweaking to get it working. Not so user friendly.
But this is netgears fault, not super poussins. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThere was an official BitTorrent add-on for Sparc/x86 but it was developed by a third party. As the third party hasn't updated it for some years now it's no longer supported and it's not included in any new firmware releases.
- btkerrAspirantI was wondering if someone could tell me what I am doing wrong. I just configured Transmission 2.7.1 on my ReadyNAS NVX to work with a proxy, but it is still using my local IP address.
"proxy": "proxy.btguard.com",
"proxy-auth-enabled": true,
"proxy-auth-password": "PASSWORD",
"proxy-auth-username": "USERNAME",
"proxy-enabled": true,
"proxy-port": 1025,
"proxy-type": 2,
Thank you in advance for the help.
