Remote is now on the way out, but it is still supposed to work.
-Is it turned on in your NV+
-Can you log in at https://remote.readynas.com/
There is a manual here which might help: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ReadyNAS/RN%20Remote%20UM_13Jun2013.pdf

Hey Stephen..
Here is what I have tried:
I am able to get Remote to work on my Mac laptop ON MY LAN - but sometimes it drops off for no reason. (readyNAS icon is solid blue but there is no NAS under "Shares")
I have sporadically managed to see only 4 of 8 shares on my IOS device, even though the settings for each is identical (and FTP is also enabled on each) Anonyomous access has been granted to each.
On the IOS I am able to log in under settings, then under ReadyNAS Remote I see that I am connected and I see my NAS, but when I tap on the NAS I get one of the following:
"connecting to device..." and then a timeout
or "Reading shares list..." and then a timeout
or "Error, Login failure"
or "Software caused abort"
or "Check your settings are identical on Remote and ReadyNAS"
At no time am I UNABLE to see all the shares through the MAC finder - they are always there!!
Perhaps I shoud try using ReadyCLOUD ?
Phil
