WhoCares? (i.e. Stefan) is the official Plex add-on builder. He works closely with the Plex devs.
ah ok,will wait for a release from him then :) - mnilsson77Aspirant

The ARM version of course doesn't support transcoding but the CPU couldn't handle it anyway.
What does this mean i practise? Does it mean that the ARM processor in ReadyNAS duo v2 cannot play for example mkv and mp4/x264 encoded videos on a plex client like ATV2/iPad? If that's the case, which kind of formats can it play? mnilsson77 wrote: fbmachines wrote:

If you are using the Plex client, then it will play the formats that plex supports (they support many formats). Transcoding basically means a reduction in size, i.e. say from 20 mbps to 4 mbps. This is usefull for streaming HD source material over mobile connections or remote WiFi. As I understand it, the ARM version can only do direct streaming (1:1). Somebody correct me if I'm wrong as I currently don't have any ARM based devices.- willy134ukAspirantany news on getting the installation fixed for duo v2?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhoCares? is working on it. It will be released when it's ready.
- horim80GuideI followed this and then installation was successful.
But when I access the PMS (http://nas_Ip:32400/manage) it requires ID/PW. What account should I use for login?
Thanks, - Looks like the ARM based addon has been officialy released.

http://www.plexapp.com/linux/linux-pms-download.php - mnilsson77AspirantIs there anybody at this forum that use PMS on ReadyNAS duo v2 and view x264 content via a Apple TV2/3? I'm curious in if it's possible without picture/audio stuttering or other drawbacks comparing to keeping the PMS on a computer with better performance.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo you already have a Duo v2? If so, give it a try on that.
If not, try streaming the file from your computer via Plex. If the CPU usage doesn't change much from when you're not streaming then most likely the video is in a format that the Apple TV can play natively and hence should work fine. If however streaming the video does involve a fair bit of CPU usage then most likely remuxing or transcoding is going on in which case it wouldn't work from the v2 (in this case you'd either have to re-encode this to a compatible format or consider a more powerful NAS). - mnilsson77AspirantI don't have any Duo v2 or NAS, but I'm thinking of buying a 2-bay Plex supported NAS that has the ability to provide my ATV2 with x264 content. Since I have searched but not found anyone who have tried this combo I'm curious if it really work flawlessly in practice.
