ReadyNAS remote install problems

Hello,

I am unable to install the ReadyNAS remote software on a PC running Windows 7.

I am guessing the problem is the leafnetworks adapter. I also tried doing a manual install of the adapter with no luck as well. I tried with the AV turned off and in SAFE mode.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi all,

    I stumbled across this post when I was having this problem also. I also had VMWare and Virtual Box installed. Since I don't need them, I have removed them, and the install completed successfully (even without a reboot).

    Just thought I'd post in case this helps someone else.

    I have the same problem on my Sony Vaio laptop.

    I am -not- running VMWare or any other virtual machine, and I am using the latest version of ReadyNas Remote.
    If fails during the install process at "Adjusting network adapter (amd64)..." (hangs).

    Does anyone know of any fix for this problem?

    Also hoping Netgear will rectify this problem in the next version of this software...

    Windows 7:
    Let's try to do this:
    Find in system register,
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\MaxNumFilters

    and increase current value for 1.

    I had this exact problem. After ages searching and trying different things, I went to Leaf Networks and downloaded the latest software :

    http://www.leafnetworks.net/download.html

    Then installed it , and it installed ok. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled ReadyNAS Remote , and it then worked.

    My system is running Windows 7 Professional (32 bit )
