I have an old Ultra 4 ReadyNAS which has been super reilable for many years, but it's getting a bit old, and a bit slow, so I am planning to upgrade to the RN424. My primary purpose is backup storage...

Yes, there's a version available on the Apps tab or at apps.readynas.com for the ReadyNAS OS6 System or you can download the files provided on this threads.
