ReadyNAS RND4210 boots but undetectable on network as 192.168.1.6

Our ReadyNS boots and states it is ready as 192.168.1.6 but I can't ping it or connect. Do I need special software or something? Is it "broken". I see USB ports. If i found a Male A to Male A cable, ...

    Is it configured to use a static address, or DHCP?

    Is your home network also configured to use 192.168.1.x addresses?

     

    Perhaps try installing RAIDar on a PC, and see if it can detect the NAS.  https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads

    No.  It needs to be connected via ethernet.  It is possible to extract the data from the hard drives, but let's first sort out the network issue.
