I'd like to see an app for Windows Phone.Are there plans to develop?Can I help develop, or maybe someone would like to help me to develop the app?Please reply to let Netgear know that there's demand for this!

As a Director of IT for and Systems Engineer I find it a bit incredulous that NetGear would develop ReadyNAS Remote clients for Android, iOS and Windows desktop OS’s and not have this key component available for Windows Phone 8. I have for decades managed IT systems for up to 6000 users, and as most corporate offices in the world went with Microsoft based server platforms once their server OS matured. Microsoft is on the desks of 90 percent of the world and NetGear cannot see the 200 pound gorilla in the room! The Windows 8 phone is slow out of the gate but I will tell you their new ecosystem will catch traction in the market, including the Phone8.The ReadyNAS 102 is actually the first time I have bought into NetGear products and it is for my home office. I bought it based on advance spec, price point and the rich feature set it promises. I was, I am sure one of the very first to own the released product. I am living on your “bleeding edge” new technology and have been working with your tech group on a number of issues. The box has some issues, yet great promise.I am not afraid of a little bleeding edge technology as long as the developer is dedicated to their product and will see through the implementation of their vision. I have dove into the deep end of the pool with the new Microsoft ecosystem (at home) as a test bed for future corporate tech path implementation. I can tell you that Microsoft has a winner on their hands, a fluid system that that will bring the integration of data that we once only dreamt of in our IT offices, and Windows Phone 8 is a BIG part of that equation.I trust that NetGear can see the light and get on the bandwagon and bring the support to your excellent product line for the New Microsoft vision. I definitely agree that Netgear should be releasing remote for windows phone. Come on Netgear the people have spoken.

Here also a ReadyNAS fan eagerly waiting for the WP8 app :)

i just noticed nobody had requested a wp8 app yet this month, so i hereby would like to bump this thing and ask for one. completely agree with the posts above mine

I guess I just need to put this in the most basic fashion. Without a Windows Phone 8 app to access, control and manage the NAS's from Netgear I'm not purchasing the products, nor recommending them to others. Do you not find it embarrassing that even Western Digital has a Windows Phone 8 access and management app along with Synology, but you can't accomplish this rather simple task?

I'm sure you have a large number of tasks on your plates at the current time and I respect that. And I respect that Windows Phone 8 is not a gigantic market surely. But your ability to be on all platforms is a sign of your capabilities to the marketplace. Lacking that coverage simply doesn't show Netgear in the best light.

It may make sense to ask your local MCS (Microsoft Services) representative and they can help you to write the app. In case you missed it, there have been huge incentives in the last few years to get vendors to write apps for Win 8 and WP8 within MCS. It just takes a desire to do this, the resources are available.

Glad I found this post. Was just about to pull the trigger on getting one of these but I guess I have to wait or look for something else.
