[req] Subsonic

Two questions. One, why can we not post on the thread where you posted Subsonic?

Second question, I'm getting an error everytime I play a file that requires the lame transcoder. Is that transcoder the one provided by subsonic or is it one you put in there? If you did put it in there is there any way we can get a working one?

1) if I remember well,it' lame from debian repository , Airvideo did not provide one

2) it's forum's design

3) can you provide me a link if a file which cause problem with lame

4) which nas model and firmware version are you using ?

not shure m4a are supported ==> I think Airvideo for Linux alpha 4 did not support audio only files :(

And the files that do not work ARE aac m4a files. So this will not work?

My subsonic is still crashing on me. I've raised memory to 600 already and still it is crashing. I only have 12,000 songs. It seems that every morning I wake up it's down.

that should be more than plenty for 12k songs

did you disable the search index?

login as an admin, settings > search > automatically update index = never

if stops crashing, then its something related to search index (which is one of the reasons to increase memory, but 600 should be fine)

I'm gonna give it a try again. I had it like that per our conversation earlier, but I just checked it again and it was set back to daily. Must have been when I updated in Frontview.

I just don't see how this could be affecting it. When I click on update search index now it does it just fine. Why is it a problem when it does it automatically?
