I'm having an issue with the subsonic server where it will crash. It's almost a daily occurrence. I try to launch it from Frontview>Services>Installed Add-ons but it will say that it cannot connect to the server. The only way of fixing it is to reinstall the add-on in Frontview>Update>Local.

Anyone have any idea what is going on? I understand that it might be due to subsonic crashing, but there must be an easier way to start subsonic back up besides reinstalling it every time.

try to increase momory usuable by subsonic in subsonic.sh

mine was doing that for a while when I was having problems with 4.2.16 betas. A factory default finally fixed it :(

otherwise, check max memory in subsonic.sh if you have a large library you will need to increase until it stops crashing.

also, you can disable the auto-update search and it may stop crashing also.

and, you should not need to re-install, just click the checkbox off + save, then checkbox on + save, should restart service

How would I go about checking max memory? How much memory should be allotted. Subsonic is really the only app I use. If not that, then I use Airvideo and Skifta occasionally.

How do I disable auto-update?

If I do a factory default will I lose anything?
