Showing device is offline
Hello
I have read all the existing topics on this issue but now are more confused than before. I am trying to remotely access my 314 running 6.2.2 using a Windows 8 laptop running the WIndows 7Client . I have NASRemote, NASReplicate and ReadyCloud installed and all are current. I have created all appropriate User accounts. My NAS is online. BUT everytime I chose connect to ReadyNAs through the PC client it shows my NAS as offline. I read mdgm's comments about P2P but I had no idea where to "restart" it.
I have read all the Netgear provided documentation and watched a myriad of youtubes on how to do this and they all seem to say its only 3 easy steps! So I feel like a complete failure as no matter what I have tried it just won't work.
Can anyone please help in plain English - I am an experienced user but not an network wizz.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredFor the 314 you would use the ReadyCloud client which has replaced the ReadyNAS Remote client on your PC. Are you using that?
- soosie999AspirantHi mdgm
No I am using the one that Netgear told me to: ReadyNASRemote-x86.bin - which is the client for Windows.
Where do I find ReadyCloud client? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHmmm? That is the add-on for legacy x86 devices.
Can you try the ReadyCloud client for Windows? - soosie999AspirantFound it and have installed it but it still only connects to my NAS on the LAN not over VPN.
- soosie999AspirantIs there a Readycloud client for mac or is it the same one?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThere is also one for Mac. See https://readycloud.netgear.com/client/index.html
Can you send me your logs?: http://readynas.com/kb/faq/misc/how_do_i_send_all_logs - soosie999AspirantHi mdgm
