Subversion ( SVN ) Add-on
Hello,
Super-Poussin removed the SVN add-on and I was hoping someone (or Super-Poussin) could please update it and bring it back. What was outdated with the old one anyway? I ask because I really don't want to manually enable Root SSH and go through all the steps (I've got a few machines I need to do it on).
Thanks in advance,
Nexus2

- baraultAspirantPlease, I need SVN too !
An SVN add-on will be wellcome. - efalskenAspirantMe too please! I've been able to hack it, but I always worry that it will be lost when I do an upgrade, since I didn't do it as a propper add-on.
- warrenbuckleyAspirantyoh-dah suggested to me that I should request this SVN addon, but looks like you already have.
How can we bring this attention to superpoussin or anyone else willing to develop this for the community?
But you definately have my vote for a user friendly way to manage a SVN server using a frontview addon.
The NAS I own is ReadyNas Duo - nto sure if that effects how the addon is developed.
Warren :) - Hairy1AspirantI actually bought my ReadyNAS with the knowledge it was possible to run svn on it! 8)
But Im not looking forward to the current way of setting it up (root etc). If the old svn plugin were to be updated I for one would be extremely greatful!
Cheers
Hairy - super_poussinVirtuosowill take a look as soon as I have time
- warrenbuckleyAspirantExcellent super-poussin i really appreciate if you can. As this will be such a wicked thing for me to have. I can then have a little SVN Server for my personal Web DEV projects :)
Thanks,
Warren :) - Hairy1AspirantThanks super-poussin,
Can you tell me pls, what would a suitable donation be? If you managed to create a working plugin that worked with TortoiseSVN, or even better an interface in FrontView for the management of repositories I would gladly donate.
Cheers
Hairy - efalskenAspirantI would donate as well! Even if it had just a single repository: https://mynas/svn/trunk
Don't forget HTTPS please!
If we need more control, maybe an svn-access file can be edited in front-view?
No idea if the frontview users/groups would be available to Apache/svn for the svn-access file, but it would be nice. - warrenbuckleyAspirantI would donate (unfortunately not alot but I would donate about £10) but I am a real novice user so I would love for it to all be configurable through FrontView addon and made as easy as possible to use (so I don't screw it up!)
- Hairy1AspirantYes HTTPS would be a requirement of any svn solution too, Im currently using Visual SVN Server to host my repositories on my PC so that I can access them remotely.
Have to say, Im loving the possibilities this little box and you devs are opening up!
Cheers
Hairy
